2019 ProPlus desktop custom icon bar

I have Quickbooks 2019 ProPlus. All of as sudden when I open any of my company files the customized icon bar is missing. I can go into the View menu select the side option and it appears on the left side. I go back in and select the top and it appears there. But whenever I log out and go back in the customized icon menu is missing again and I have to do it all over again

Allow me to help share additional information about the toolbar in QuickBooks, @ghoops2.

 

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, the view settings may have been modified. We can modify this by going to the View menu. Then, select the Top Icon Bar.

 

Afterward, close the file to see if the icon bar appears. 

 

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop for Windows, I recommend updating QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. But before doing so, I suggest Run QuickBooks as Administrator.

 

 Here’s how:

 

  1. Right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your desktop and hit Run as Administrator.
  2. Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks
  3. Select Options on the new window and mark the checkbox against each option
  4. Then, click Update Now.

2019 ProPlus desktop custom icon bar

I am using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop (quite similar to Pro). The icon bar was only viewable on left pane. When I wanted to view it on the top pane, all icons were blank. You could tell the icons were supposed to be in that blank area, but nothing was shown. This may sound dumb, but I right-clicked in the blank area, clicked "Customize Icon Bar" and went to the "show icon bar display options" section. For some reason when I switched my choice from "show icons or text" to "show icons only" then back again, the icon bar reappeared. Hope someone will find this useful. I know how QuickBooks can get weird sometimes.
