Active license is not recognized

I have an active subscription to Q'books Pro 2020 but the program will not open no matter what I do.  It keeps saying that the license has lapsed.  I am unable to contact support at Quickbooks even through the help button because I cannot get a company file to open.  Does anyone have a way to contact a real person at Intuit?

If someone could put in MY information in the "Contact me" format and I could get a call back, that would be great.

Hi there, @Susan.

Yes, there's another available option to contact our customer support. Before we proceed to the steps, let me share with you some workaround that will fix your login issue.

If you see an error message “Your QuickBooks subscription has lapsed”, this means that there's an issue with your billing info.

Don't worry, I'll provide you the steps on how you can fix this. This way, you can get back to business.

First, let's make sure that your payment details for the subscription are correct. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS) as an admin user.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop from your products and services.
  3. In the Billing Information section, click Edit and update your payment information.
  4. When you’re done, select Save and Close.
  5. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. Go to the Help menu and hover over Manage My License. Then click Sync License Data Online.

If you're still seeing the error, update QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to its latest release. This often fixes subscription errors. It also ensures you have the latest features and fixes.

If it's already up to date and you still see the error message, try restoring your product and license file. Just follow these steps:

  1. Get your product and license info. If you don't have it on hand, here's how to find it.
  2. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Open the Windows Start menu and type Run into the search box and select Run.
  4. Type C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 and click Enter. If this doesn't open a folder, enter C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v6 instead.
  5. Look for the file EntitlementDataStore.ecml. Right-click it and select Delete
  6. Click Yes to confirm.
  7. Open QuickBooks Desktop and your company file.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to register QuickBooks again with your product and license info.

In addition, here is the link you can use an alternative way to contact our QuickBooks Desktop phone support: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.

In case you need tips and related articles on your future task, you can click this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/help-articles/misc/03/help-articles-us?label=QuickBooks%....

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to be of assistance. Have a great day and take care.
