Advanced Inventory selecting bin locations on quotes

You'll want to make sure that the bin selected is under Warehouse A. You're unable to select a bin from other sites. You can review it on your Inventory Site List.

If the same error persists, please recreate the transaction. It's to check if the error only occurs on the transaction made.

The inventory site is always constant, this hiccup happens when you are in a quote and you mistakenly forget to assign the bin but continue to enter additional line items - once you realize you missed assigning a bin location on a previous line this is where the issue is - it only gives you the last bin location from another line on this quote - the bin is completely wrong and it doesn't give you the option to select any other bins.  It's like it freezes on the last bin location before you've realized you missed a previous one.

Yes, you're right that it will give you the last bin location from another line item. However, you can click <Show All> to see other bins. This way, you have the option to select another bin.

Hi, I just had a chance to check your suggestion, and it does not help.  Even by selecting ALL, I'm only given quantities to choose from the previous bin location which doesn't have the part I'm needing to assign to.

I've been working with QB for 20+ years and I know my way around, this is an issue that I can recreate over and over in the Quote and Sales Order form.

Additionally, I went back through the previous item lines and looked at the bin location and quantities and NOW the correct bin which was chosen no longer has anything in it and the only bin that does is the last one chosen before going back to the ones that were missed.

Since none of these worked, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks support. They will be able to check your account and see what's causing this error.

1. Click Help at the top menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
