Join nowMy org keeps getting this error for multiple users at random times and there's no rhyme or reason that we can pinpoint. We have fully uninstalled and re-installed and even repaired QB and this error continues to keep happening. We use QuickBooks Accountant Desktop 2020.
Hi JBartilomo,
I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the error.
You have already done the things we can advise from here.
That being said, I would recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support team, so they can use more tools to check this further. You can reach them through chat or call the number in this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
Let me know if you have other concerns with your QuickBooks.
Which Windows OS do you have? How big is your file size?
I'm running off a Win 10 Remote Server and the file size is 108mb.
It seems the crux of the issue is the highlighted text:
The "type initializer for 'OLB_Center..." is likely referring to the Online Banking ("OLB") center, now renamed Bank Feeds. This suggests the user is trying to open the Bank Feeds center - or perhaps it is already an open window and it's trying to update/refresh itself.
I'm guessing this is related to the Online Banking ("olb"), Financial Institution List ("filist"), the list of banks that pay Intuit so they can offer Online Banking/Bank Feeds services to QB users.
Oddly, I checked on two computers on which I have many versions of QuickBooks installed, and have used online banking/bank feeds, and nowhere do I have a fiblueprint.xml file or even a \components\olb\ folder.
If you don't either, then "Access to the path ... is denied" may mean QuickBooks is trying to open a file that doesn't exist in a location that also doesn't exist.
If you do see this file on the computer(s) in question, then - when you're logged into the computer as the user getting the message - can you read it/open it directly, or do you get some sort of a system error about rights/access?
Upon looking myself I do have up to the components/ folder but no olb folder.
Now with that, how can I eliminate this file search path? This is very interesting..
Hello there, @JBartilomo.
Thanks for letting us know in advance that you have tried all the steps shared in this thread.
Based on the error message and the suggestions above, I recommend checking the permission of the file paths. Make sure the computers you are using have complete access. It looks like there are restrictions on the folder.
We can also configure your firewall security settings for the Desktop. This way, you can make sure that the internet access will go through without any problems.
If you keep on experiencing the same error, I suggest contacting our Customer Support team. They can investigate why you received this error.
I'm adding these articles for future reference to learn more about managing your company file:
