Auditing or logging of single vs. multi-user logins?

Is there any way to see history of user logins that show whether they opened a company file in single vs. multi-user mode? The basic "Customer Credit Card Audit Trail" report does not indicate the mode the user logged in with.

Thanks,

Bob

Auditing or logging of single vs. multi-user logins?

Hi there, @BearDenBob.

I'll share some details about getting the user logged history.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is unable to show the login mode activities of users on a Credit Card Audit Trail. I understand that this is beneficial to help you keep track of all the user activities with single and multi-user modes..

For now, feel free to visit the Product Updates page to know new features coming into the system. It includes several topics to keep you in the circle.

Also, you can easily find an application compatible with the software in the QuickBooks Desktop App Center to pursue your needs. Besides, you might want to search for an app compatible with QBDT by browsing the internet.

Another alternative would be using the QBWin.log file to check the user login activities. It includes all the actions done by a user including opening the QuickBooks file. This might sound technical to know, you can reference this article to learn more: Find QBWin.log or QuickBooks.log files.

I'll make sure you get the information you need to know, so please tag me if you have additional questions. Anytime I can help. More power to you and your business!
