Automatically going onto the invoice

When I put in a new customer and I put stuff in the additional info tab how do I make that automatically go onto the invoice, and when i bring up the customer in the future it should already be there also, it use to do it and then i got a new computer and new quick books and i cannot figure it out. Thank you!

Automatically going onto the invoice

Welcome to the Community, @Carlee018.

 

Let's customize the invoice template to show the additional information you've entered to your new customer.

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop, go to the Lists menu, then select Templates.
  2. Select and open the invoice template you're using.
  3. In the Basic Customization window, click Additional Customization...
  4. In the Header tab, find the additional information you've added and put a checkmark to the Screen and Print checkboxes.
  5. Enter the title of the information, then click OK.

Once done, you'll be able to see the additional information on the invoice.

Automatically going onto the invoice

I have it on the invoice already but when I put it in the customer stuff and hit save and then i go to add the stuff onto the invoice the stuff that i put on the additional info tab does not go onto the invoice i have to type it in the field on the invoice

I hope your day is going well. Thank you for the feedback about the customer's additional information auto-populating to the invoice.

 

At this time, the invoices in QuickBooks Desktop doesn't generate the customer's additional information. I will submit feedback to our Product Development Team for them to further review and consider this soon.

Okay thank you! It used to when I put something in the additional info tab it automatically went to the invoice and now that I got a new computer and new quickbooks it will not do it
