Bank and cc reconciliations disappeared after accepting accountants changes

Is there a way to recover the whole year's worth of reconciliations?

Or should I just reconcile the year?

I found something that refers to the Accountant Changes Report, but I can't find where to access it.

Thanks -

Bank and cc reconciliations disappeared after accepting accountants changes

Let me add some info about missing reconciliation after accepting accountant changes, @knitonpearl.

Let's check if your accountant deleted the reconciled transactions or edit the transactions on your company file. When importing an accountant’s copy, you will have the option to check what changes have been made. You want to contact your accountant about this.

Otherwise, we can re-enter those reconciled transactions In QuickBooks Desktop. You can use this article as your guide on how to reconcile your accounts.

I would also recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support Team. They have available tools to take a look into your account and might have an easier way on how to handle those lost reconciled transactions. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.

I have here articles that you can read to learn more about accountant's copy:

Let me know in the comment section if you have other banking concerns with QuickBooks. I'll be happy to lend a helping hand. Have a blissful day.

Hi, @knitonpearl.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the missing reconciliation concern you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

Bank and cc reconciliations disappeared after accepting accountants changes

Hey there -

Thanks for checking.

I have not resolved this issue.

Did you mean to add a link to an article? (Otherwise, we can re-enter those reconciled transactions In QuickBooks Desktop. You can use this article as your guide on how to reconcile your accounts.)

I wonder if the safest way to proceed is to reconcile the whole year at once, using my last reconciliation as a guide.

I tried to get help via chat, but apparently this issue isn't covered in chat help without a premium membership?

My accountant has never come across this problem.

Thanks for your help and concern!

Allow me to join, knitonpearl.

I can share some insight about fixing the loss reconciliation.

There are times when outdated software can cause unexpected issues within your file. Let's ensure that your QBDT is up to date to isolate this.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Help menu.

2. Click Update QuickBooks Desktop.

3. Select the Update Now tab.

4. Choose Get Updates to start the download.

5. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks.

6. Then accept the option to install the new release when prompted.

Also, you can reconcile your last year's transaction again or restore a backup copy of your file. But, restoring a backup copy doesn't include the new Accountant's Copy changes. Once restored, you can manually enter the changes made by your accountant.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team. They can take a look at your account in a secure environment and check what's causing this issue. You might need to have a support plan for them to assist you much further.

You can read the guide here in case you want to resolve errors when creating or working on an Accountant's Copy.

Post a reply if you have other follow-up questions about the Accountant's Copy. We're just a few clicks away from you. Stay safe!
