Bin Locations

Good job moving the items to the correct bin location, tblanco. This time, I would like to explain how transferring items to other bin locations works in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Currently, when you transfer an item to another bin location, it will still appear in the previous bin location but will show as 0, and the option to remove it is not available. This is designed to keep a record of the item transfers for tracking purposes.

While the option you're looking for is unavailable, I recommend submitting feedback to our Product Development Team. They review all feedback to better meet the needs of our customers.

To send feedback, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Help tab at the top of your QBDT account.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Choose the Product Suggestion tab.
  4. Enter your suggestion from the pop-up window display.
  5. Once done, click Send Feedback.

You can also visit this page or the What's New section on your QBDT to get updates on our latest news about product improvements.

Bin Locations

Hello there, @tblanco. To correct an item's placement in an incorrect Bin Location, we'll need to transfer it to the right location. I'm here to guide you through the process to make it straightforward and easy for you.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Navigate to Inventory menu, then select Inventory Site List.
  2. In the Inventory Site List window, locate the Activities drop-down menu. From there, select Transfer Inventory.
