Buy nowHi,
I’m using the 30 day trial version of QB Desktop for Mac which must be the most current year. The converted Mac data file came from our QB for PC Desktop, 2022 with a subscription.
You have QB Desktop 2022 Pro/Premier with a subscription license, correct?
You have to manually convert data from QB to Quicken. Another option, use the trial version of QB Desktop 2022 to access your historical data. Then you'll start with new data in Quicken.
I appreciate the efforts you've taken to convert your QuickBooks Desktop to Quicken, @mrc88dal.
Basically, the step you've mentioned summarizes the process stated in Step 2. In this case, you'll need to open the .IIF file you've exported from QBDT and open it in Excel. I can guide you on how to perform this successfully.
Alternatively, you can also consider following @Fiat Lux - ASIA suggestion to convert your data.
Also, you can check this article to know more about IIF: IIF Overview: import kit, sample files, and headers.
Please don't hesitate to get back to this thread if you have further questions about exporting your information from QBDT to Quicken. We'll be glad to assist you.
My client wants to go back to Quicken, can this be converted from QB online?
Thank you!

The second option to convert your data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to Quicken is to utilize a third-party application designed to streamline this process. This option can help automate the data transfer, minimizing the risk of errors and saving significant time. You can visit the QuickBooks App Store or navigate the Apps menu on your QBO account to find the application suitable for your business needs.

The best option is to convert your client data to QB Desktop file format and use the old QB Desktop with a non-subscription license to access their historical data for good. Then start creating a new file in Quicken from scratch.
