Can I print a copy of the 2020 employee W2's and W3 forms. We use QB online, How do i print them?

When printing W-2s and W-3s, we recommend using a blank 3-part or 4-part perforated paper. This way, the form will print correctly and your employees won’t have any issues when filing. You may get one from our QuickBooks Checks & Supplies.

Once your paper is ready, you'll have to set up your printing preferences:
 

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Choose Payroll Settings.
3. Click the Preferences link, then select Form W-2 Printing Settings.
4. Choose your paper type, then hit OK.

Then, it's time to print your W-2s and W-3s:
 

1. Select Taxes from the sidebar menu.
2. Go to the Payroll Tax tab.
3. In the Forms section, click the Annual Forms link.
4. From here you can print both employer and employee copies of your W-2s and W-3s. (Employer Copies: Form W-2, Copies A & D, Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements: W-3, Employee Copies: Form W-2, Copies B, C, & 2).
5. Choose the appropriate filing period from the drop-down menu.
6. Hit View to open Adobe Reader in a new window.
7. Click the Print icon on the Adobe Reader toolbar, then select Print again.

I am still stuck. I have online core payroll and I can only get to step 3. I have no tab for PREFERENCES.  What now?

The Payroll Settings window varies from one type of payroll service to another. This is the reason why you're unable to see the Preferences window.

Being able to print a copy of your Form W2 depends on if you chose to have us pay and file your payroll taxes for you, or if you opted to pay and file them yourself. You can directly go to the Taxes menu and follow the second set of steps that were provided in the original response. I would also suggest reaching out to our Payroll Support Team just in case you're still unable to print your form. Follow these steps on how to contact them:

1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner of your QBO account.
2. Type in "Talk to a human" in the chatbox, then press Enter.
3. Select Get help from a human.
4. Click Chat with us or Have us call you.
