IMac 2024, agent got me a download that would work in the online platform so I could subscribe to the 15./mo for 3 months....she migrated QB desktop 2016 from my old iMac to the new software and it worked, but a window kept coming up asking to register or I could not use it..need the License and product numbers to register, and there is none...spent hours with Intuit techs who. could not fix this....now I cannot open my check register. I have Quickbooks Mac Plus 2023. and it is an Online payment platform so I can use the 15./mo for 3 months subscription for now

Go to camps.intuit.com

Thank you for writing. I explained the problem already. It is supposed to be an Online platform, the only way I could pay only 15/mo for 3 months, and get a download compatible with my new IMac...It is called, QB Mac Plus 2023...I cannot find this anywhere...So, I figured out how to get my check register up temporarily: I went into my "Passport" backup, found the download for 2023, clicked it, a window with the icon and application folders appeared with an arrow to drag the icon into the appl. a new icon appeared on my desktop, green with white QB "2", dragged it to my dock, clicked it, went to file in the upper left menu bar, clicked on "open recent file" (and the name of my check register was now in black there) and the check register opened...I still cannot get the license and product numbers for my download...I have been told that there are none for online...so I need to get rid of the 2 windows that come up asking me to register now, and then asking for the license and product numbers...eventually, it will shut off again. the website you mentioned takes me nowhere useful

I can see your efforts by visiting your product and license number in CAMPs. From there, you can log in with your Intuit Account Info.

You have installed QB Desktop 2023 without installation code and used 15 times opening to access your file, correct? Click on my profile name and you will find our website address to send emails, We can help to access your data in QB Desktop 2023 and you can convert your data to QBO later.

You can contact Fiat Lux and they can share a workaround to access your data again in your Mac. You may consider to keep using QB Desktop or convert your data to QBO.

I cannot download files from my bank because ALL OF THE SUDDEN I have to register quickbooks. The instructions say to go to the HELP menu and click REGISTER QUICKBOOKS. There is no such place to click in the help menu or anywhere else on the menu that I can find.

Your system is VERY unfriendly for use and instructions should be clear and usable. BTW, I have been using QB since 2012

Before anything else, may I ask for your bank and the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) version you're using? Any additional info will be much appreciated, as this will help us provide a precise solution.

Meanwhile, if you're using the QBDT 2021 version or earlier, please know that these versions are no longer supported. It means that online services, including banking and support, are unavailable. To continue using QBDT and its services, upgrading to a currently supported version is recommended.

On the other hand, if you have a supported version, I'd recommend using the Web Connector tool. This tool facilitates data exchange between QBDT and third-party web applications, addressing problems like connection failures or data transfer errors.
