Cash flow trend widget

I'm here to help resolve the issue with your Cash Flow Trend widget, Clair D. I'll ensure it gets fixed so you can manage your financial data accordingly.

The Cash Flow Trend widget on the Dashboards uses historical data (categorized and uncategorized transactions) from your connected bank accounts. If the link between QuickBooks and your bank is interrupted, your transactions won't be downloaded, causing the Cash Flow Trend widget not to update. You'll have to troubleshoot by manually updating your account.

On the other hand, if there's no issue with your bank's connection to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can proceed with troubleshooting measures to determine whether this matter lies with your browser.

Start by pulling up your account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the Dashboards menu and select the Home tab to access the Cash Flow Trend widget.

If you can do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. After that, restart your browser and log back into your QBO account to refresh the system.

However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend clicking the browser's Refresh icon (please see the screenshot below) or using other supported browsers

Moreover, I'd recommend reconciling your accounts regularly (monthly) to guarantee the accuracy of your financial records.

Stay in touch if you have other concerns about the Cash Flow Trend widget or questions about managing your transactions in QBO. We're always here to help.
