Convert QB2016 to Windows QBW

Hi @VNUser,

The conversion process of a QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac company file requires the QBDT for Mac itself.

You'll have to look for a Mac system to start the process. If you no longer have an installer for QBDT for Mac 2016, you can download a trial version from this page: Downloads & Updates. 

When you're ready, the first thing you need to do is remove any memos longer than 50 characters, or those that contain special characters. 

Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Select Custom Transaction Detail Report.
3. Choose All Dates.
4. Double-click a transaction with a memo to open it. 
5. Delete the special characters from the memo field, then hit Save.
6. Close the transaction.
7. Repeat the same steps above for all other transactions.
8. Re-sort your lists.
9. Run the Verify and Rebuild tools on your company file.
