Hi @VNUser,
The conversion process of a QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac company file requires the QBDT for Mac itself.
You'll have to look for a Mac system to start the process. If you no longer have an installer for QBDT for Mac 2016, you can download a trial version from this page: Downloads & Updates.
When you're ready, the first thing you need to do is remove any memos longer than 50 characters, or those that contain special characters.
Here's how:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Select Custom Transaction Detail Report.
- Choose All Dates.
- Double-click a transaction with a memo to open it.
- Delete the special characters from the memo field, then hit Save.
- Close the transaction.
- Repeat the same steps above for all other transactions.
- Re-sort your lists.
- Run the Verify and Rebuild tools on your company file.
To continue, see this article: Convert a QuickBooks for Mac file to QuickBooks for Windows. Scroll down to Step 3: Convert your company file.
I'll leave this article here in case you encounter any errors during the conversion process: Error: QuickBooks is not able to convert your Mac file to a Windows file.
Tell me if you have other questions about this conversion process in the comments below. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
