Hi there, @julielerman.
I understand you are looking for a way to import mappings from a test company file into a real one in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). The option to directly transfer import mappings between company files is currently unavailable. I'll share some insight about this matter.
To utilize the mappings in your company file, you'll need to set them up again manually. This involves recreating the fields, data types, and other necessary configurations in the import mapping process. While this may require additional effort, it ensures that the mappings are accurately replicated in the real company file.
Furthermore, your feedback is valuable to us, and I encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions regarding this feature with our development team. They are constantly working to improve QuickBooks Online and may consider implementing such functionality in the future.
Follow these:
- Press the Gear icon in the upper right and choose Feedback under profile.
- It will open a window where you can enter your product suggestions.
- From there, input how you want the program to work.
- Click Next to submit it.
Our developers periodically update and release new features. They might change how this works in the future. To be updated with our latest news and updates, including product improvements, I encourage you to visit the What's New section on your QBDT account or open this link to view our product update blogs.
