Correct 1099 filed via quickbooks that has been accepted (missing "Correct" link)

Hi,

I found an error for a contractor after I already submitted my 1099 files electronically via Quickbooks (online) and it was accepted by the IRS.  I'm trying to make the correction and follow these instructions

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/form-1099-nec/correct-change-1099s-qu...

But for me there's only an option to "View" not "Correct"

So if we have an irate vendor that got the wrong form, I have to tell them to wait some unspecified time, or do it myself?  Why do you have the directions up there when they aren't available?

All your videos and instruction pages say you can correct a vendor's information and submit the corrected form  to the IRS through QB, but when I try to fix the name it says I haven't made any corrections.  Will I ever be able to send a corrected 1099? If not how am I supposed to correct this since all the IRS information says corrections have to be submitted the same way the original 1099 was submitted.
