Thanks for posting this to our care, and I can share some details about this, @WJN.
Recurring charges are processed only once a day, shortly after 12 AM PT. So when you create a recurring payment, you've already missed the processing for that day. The earliest you can start is the next day. This may be the reason you're unable to create a new one because you're processing CC payments on the same day. Here are some things you'll want to know: Recurring Credit Card Payments FAQs.
However, if you haven't processed CC payment yet and created one, and the arrow keeps moving around, I recommend using a different supported browser. Performance issues in QuickBooks Payments are resolved by doing basic troubleshooting steps. You can also start by opening a private browser to run a new session.
Here's how:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N.
- Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P.
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N.
If you can now make a new recurring credit card payment, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. It helps the browser to remove unwanted data and boosts browsing performance.
