Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this sorted out, CL21.

We can review the Date format feature to show the mm/dd/yy forrmat. Let me show you how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose the Account and Settings option.
  3. Go to the Advanced panel, click on the Pencil icon for Other preferences.
  4. From the Date format drop-down, select the MM/dd/yy format you want to use on the transaction.
  5. Hit on Save.
  6. Press Done.

Then, try entering the date period in the transaction.  If the same thing happens, we can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. Then, try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use a supported, up-to-date browser to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

You can always update us on the result of this troubleshooting in the comment below. I'd like to ensure this is resolved for you. Take care always.

Having the same issue (posted in a separate thread. This is not a cache issue - it's a logic problem.

It's an issue easily duplicated and experienced by other users.  There's no point in doing this troubleshooting as it is a logic issue - the problem is at Quickbook's end, not the client.
