Dialog boxes are too small

Since I purchased a new laptop, the Quickbooks dialog boxes that open are scrunched and too small to read or enter new information. Is there a way to expand them or change a setting? See photo for an example. Thanks. Quickbooks EFTPS screen.jpg

Yes, you're correct, @Hojo1.

You'll have to change the display scaling on high DPI setting in Windows to adjust your view preferences in QuickBooks.

High-resolution monitors often get this scenario and adjusting its display can help it. With QuickBooks Desktop, the default compatibility mode in High DPI settings for Windows is 96.

You can follow these steps:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "QuickBooks" into the search. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
  4. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  5. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  6. Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  7. Select Apply and then OK.

Alternatively, you can do this by right-clicking on the blank part of the Windows desktop:

  1. Click Display Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Scale and layout.
  3. Choose Advanced Scaling Settings under the drop-down selection.

Once done, open QuickBooks to check if it's good to go. If the issue persists, move on to Step 2: Adjust your view preferences in QuickBooks through this article: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

To read more info about fixing DPI issues in Windows, you can reference this Microsoft article: Windows scaling issues for high-DPI devices.

Please let me know how it goes or tag me if you need further assistance. I'm always here to help. Stay safe and have a great day!

Dialog boxes are too small

Thank you so much! It took all the way to step 3, so now know that I can temporarily change the resolution when I need to change something in a dialog box. Hopefully Intuit will fix this issue some day. I really appreciate your help.
