disabling sandbox

I get the attached message when trying to start a new company from an existing company using QB desktop 2022.  How do I get around this or disable the sandbox feature?

disabling sandbox

Thank you for sharing the screenshot, jfull. We have specific fixes available for the error message you encountered, but inquiries related to the Sandbox functionality have a separate dedicated support team.

I'm here to help you troubleshoot the alert message so you can create a new company file and ensure you can connect with our dedicated specialists.

The error in reload.sql has various Sybase error messages. These alert messages appear when you're opening an accountant's copy transfer file (.QBX). One specific Sybase error message states: The file [file_name] is invalid when the disk sandbox feature is enabled for database '[database]. This indicates that you need to move your file to the computer where you use QuickBooks. Before proceeding, ensure your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest release.

Once you’ve completed that, we can move the file to your local storage. Start by opening the folder where you want to save the file. Next, right-click in the folder and follow these steps:

  1. Click New, then select Folder.
  2. Enter a name for the folder without special characters (! " # $ % & ‘ * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ ] ^ { | } ~).
  3. Go to the folder where your portable company file or accountant’s copy is saved.
  4. Right-click on the file, then hit Copy.
  5. Open the folder you created. Right-click anywhere, then choose Paste.

Afterward, you will need to restore the file. Refer to Step 2 in this article for the step-by-step guide: Fix Error in reload.sql in QuickBooks for Windows.

Additionally, in terms of the disabling the sandbox feature, I recommend
contacting Intuit Developer's support team. This way, they can provide accurate resolutions to address your concerns.

Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Scroll down, and then click the Contact Support blue button.

Finally, I’ve included several articles to assist you with merging companies, data, and lists, as well as guidance on using File Doctor to resolve any company file issues you may encounter:
