You'll need to install QuickBooks Desktop to a second computer then restore the company files so she can look over the files.

First, prepare for the install:
1. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements.
2. If you haven’t already, download your version of QuickBooks Desktop. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Windows desktop)./li>
3. Have your product and license number handy.
Next, Install QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:
1. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooks.exe).
2. Follow the onscreen instructions. Accept the software license agreement and then choose Next.
3. Enter your Product and License numbers. Then Hit the Next button.

If you have QuickBooks Accountant, I suggest to use the Accountant's file transfer service to send accountant's copy. This way, you'll get the old accounts from way back off the books.
You can purchase another license to install QuickBooks to your laptop and access company files from the different computers at the same time. This way ,you can set up a multi-user network.
