Getting Quickbooks Info to Accountant for intro meet

OK;

    Going to interview a new quickbooks Accountant /Bookeeper in another city.  I am using QBpro Desktop 2019 for my business on one office computer.  Do I just bring a copy of company file  or load QB2019 to my laptop as second computer so she can look over files?  I am probably at this point going to use her for cleaning up the books and then take her on after taxes.  Presently other bookeeper who was a pro advisor, (I am not sure anymore) comes in to do books, but there is little communication with CPA who has moved far away and is semi retired. We just can't get old accounts from way back off the books.  Time to make decisions !!  What would the community recommend sans paper reports, and, can I have a laptop as part of my license that I can update on my network.  Thanks for your anticipated help.

Hi there, Propjob.

You'll need to install QuickBooks Desktop to a second computer then restore the company files so she can look over the files.

Below are steps on how to install QuickBooks Desktop.

First, prepare for the install:

1. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements.
2. If you haven’t already, download your version of QuickBooks Desktop. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Windows desktop)./li>
3. Have your product and license number handy.

Next, Install QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:

1. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooks.exe).
2. Follow the onscreen instructions. Accept the software license agreement and then choose Next.
3. Enter your Product and License numbers. Then Hit the Next button.

To finish the process on how to install QuickBooks Desktop, please check this article and follow the steps three and four: Install QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have QuickBooks Accountant, I suggest to use the Accountant's file transfer service to send accountant's copy. This way, you'll get the old accounts from way back off the books.

You can purchase another license to install QuickBooks to your laptop and access company files from the different computers at the same time. This way ,you can set up a multi-user network.
