How can a non profit send donation acknowledgements from QuickBooks?

You can't using QuickBooks itself. However, you can using our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online  (or BRC Donor Statements - Desktop  for QuickBooks Desktop).

These tools will create proper donor statements from your QuickBooks data. They include various custom options to change the statements. You can print and mail them, or when paired with our BRC Excel Batch-Email Manager , you can also email them.

With QBO, we can send an acknowledgement letter to our donors to show appreciation for their act of kindness. From this, we can create a transaction statement that is used as a donor or pledge report. They're ideal for non-profits and enterprises that want to send donors' activity updates but don't need a running balance or amount due.

To create a transaction statement for donor, you can refer to the steps below:

1. From the left navigation pane, select Sales menu. Then, go to the Donors tab.
2. Look for the Donor that you want to create a statement with.
3. In the Action column, click the dropdown and select Create statement.
4. From the Statement Type, choose Transaction Statement.
5. Select the Start Date and the End Date.
6. Click Apply if changes are applied.
7. Select Print or Preview to check the layout of your statement before sending to your donors.
8. Hit Save and send, then select Send.

Furthermore, you can also manually create the acknowledgement statement and send it to your donors.
