You can change the Customer/Vendor Name in QuickBooks Desktop in which all the transactions under that customer/vendor will update.
To change a Customer's name, here's how:
- At the top menu, click Customers.
- Select Customer Center.
- In the Customer Center window, go to the Customers &Jobs tab.
- Locate and double click the name of the customer.
- In the pop-up window, change the customer name.
- Click OK.
To change a Vendor's name, here's how:
- At the top menu, click Vendors.
- Select Vendor Center.
- In the Vendor Center window, go to the Vendors tab.
- Locate and double click the name of the vendor.
- In the pop-up window, change the vendor name.
- Click OK.
But, if you're trying to move transactions from a customer to vendor, then it's not possible.
