How can I print the a Class on an Invoice?

Not an option, class is an internal reporting tag, nothing more, and as such has nothing to do with the customer

How can I print the a Class on an Invoice?

Let provide few information, @Proledge7.

In QuickBooks, a category is a way to classify the products and services you sell. In the meantime, ensure to put the check mark the Category from the Custom Form to include the class.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, click the Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click New Style.
  4. Locate the invoice you want to print.
  5. Select the Edit under Action.
  6. Click Content, select the Header.
  7. Put a check mark Product/Service and Category.
  8. Click Done.

I've attached this article if you want to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

If you need further assistance with this, please comment below by clicking the reply button. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello there, kandus11,

When you customize the invoice, under Content, click on the invoice body. From there, put a check mark on Product/Service and Category. Click Done to save changes.

I see this article is almost a year old. Is this function no longer an option?

It's a pleasure to have you here, @chelsea_modern

The function suggested by my colleague is still an option right now in QuickBooks Online. You can still be able to include the category in your invoice.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top right corner.
  2. Under Your Company, choose Custom Form Styles.
  3. Locate the invoice you want to print.
  4. Choose the Edit under Action.
  5. Select Content, and click the invoice body.
  6. Put a checkmark next to Product/Service and Category.
  7. Once done, click Done.

How can I print the a Class on an Invoice?

I understand you require more convenient functionalities in printing invoices within QuickBooks Online, DonyaaC. I'll share the steps to submit feedback about the correct email invoice amount.

The option to print an invoice that includes the Class isn't possible in QuickBooks Online. I would suggest you send a request to our product developer. This way, they'll see your recommendation and consider counting it in the subsequent schedule update.

Follow the steps below:

  1. You can go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, press the Feedback button.
  3. Write your product suggestion, then click Next.

Furthermore, our Product Development team receives your thoughtful comments (QBO) through the feature request tracking QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

If in case you need to get the summary details of your sales transactions, you can gain ideas from this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

That's it. I'm excited to provide more information on any QuickBooks-related topic. Please add it in the comment section. May you have a great day.

It isn't only for categorizing data, I also use it to show an employee who performed work. As QBO doesn't allow you to reference line items by employee, it is the only way our customers can see who did the work. It saves time from having to download reports from another program, format, and attach them to the invoice. It also provides insight into service profitability by subcontractors & employees. So it is a win-win for our customers and internal reporting. We also don't use QBO Payroll.
