In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) you can only add an accountant user by navigating through the Accountant section, Tom.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Gear icon at the top and choose Accountant.
- In the Accountant email field, enter your accountant’s email address. Then, choose Send invitation.
- Select Text a code to verify your identity. This sends a verification code to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the code in the Verification code field.
- Click Continue.
Once you complete these steps, your accountant will receive an email with instructions to Accept Invitation. They will then be able to access your account using QuickBooks Online Accountant. If they do not receive the invitation, you can choose to Resend invite.
If you'd like to add a regular user, you can consider upgrading to QuickBooks Online.
