How do I get a real person to talk to about aligning printing checks and deposit slips

I've got your back on aligning checks and deposit slips in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @sallydamm.

I appreciate the things you've done to align checks and deposit slips. But to add up, you can go directly to the fine-tuning screen from the Check or Bank deposit window. This way, you can fine-tune your printed page's alignment to match your pre-printed forms.

Here's how:

  1. In the Check or Bank deposit window, click Print and select Setup and alignment.
  2. Click No, continue setup twice.
  3. Compare the alignment grid in the Preview window with the grid on the Fine-tune alignment page.
  4. Drag the on-screen grid to match its location on your printout.
  5. From this position, QuickBooks Online determines how to adjust the alignment and changes the Horizontal and Vertical offsets as necessary.
  6. Select View preview and print sample and select Print to make sure the information on your printed sample deposit slip lines up with the correct areas of your pre-printed form.
  7. If the sample lines up with your form, select Finish setup.
  8. If not, continue to fine-tune the alignment until it matches.

I'm adding this article for more details: Set up and print deposit slips.

However, if you need to talk to one of our support agents, you can click the ? Help button at the top-right corner and select Contact Us to talk with a live agent. For more guidance on contacting support, feel free to check out this article: Contact Support.

Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back. Have a great day!

I'm back to ensure everything is fine, @sallydamm.

Were you able to align checks and deposit slips using the fine-tune alignment? If you need more clarification on this process, just let me know. I'll be sure to get back to you.

Wishing you continued success.

Case number [removed].

The problem has not been resolved. It is my understanding the correction needs to be on QB end in their tech department. I am so frustrated with your customer service that I could say a few words.  However, my mother taught me if I can say anything good, not to say anything.

I had a phone call last night at 5:30 PM CST approximately from QB. I was not in the office. He scheduled with me a 9 AM CST phone call to resolve the problem, however I am still waiting for the phone call one hour into my day.

How do I get a real person to talk to about aligning printing checks and deposit slips

Hello sallydamm,

I know you've spent a lot of time and effort just to get the issue resolved. And we appreciate you for getting back on the Community page to share your current situation.

As much as I want to help you, our Technical Support team is the only one who can take a look at your account. I understand how precious time is. And waiting for the support to callback creates an impact on your productivity.

There are times they’re unable to follow the said promised callbacks due to the number of customers in line and sometimes takes a bit longer.

It would be great to contact them again for a follow-up. You can present the case number for reference to the next support who will be assisting you. That way, they’ll be able to review and provide additional steps to fix your concern. They can also request an investigation if necessary.

Please know that our supports are most available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT. They can also assist customers during the weekend but only Saturday starting from 6:00 AM until 3:00 PM PT.

Here are the steps to contact them:

  1. Select the (?) Help menu located at the top right.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. You can enter the case number on the box.
  4. Hit Let’s talk.
  5. Choose to Get a call.

You might want to check this link here on how to fix Online printing issues. It contains troubleshooting articles to help you be able to print again.

Let me know how it goes. We’re always here determined to find a resolution for you. Keep safe.
