It's a pleasure to have you here in the Community, @igor5.

I'd be more than happy to share some insights about your concern today.

I know how handy it is to sort debit or credits values in General Ledger report, however, this option is no longer available. That said, you can continue exporting these amounts to QBO. With regards to you Chart of Accounts, you'll want to view each register and toggle the PAYMENT (USD) column and DEPOSIT (USD) column to sort them out. Check out this screenshot below as your reference:

Furthermore, I can see how this option can bring you so much convenience, that said, I'd recommend sending feedback to our product developers so they can assess this for future enhancements of the QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear section.
  2. Select Feedback
  3. Enter your feedback and suggestions for us.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Choose Feedback for the category.
  6. Click Send Message.

Check out our Reports Help page to learn more about what preference are available in QBO reports and how to use them: Reports Hub for QuickBooks Online.

Whomever decided to take off sorting amounts out of QuickBooks just made QuickBooks absolutely useless for accounting purposes completely. I will literally move all my clients off this software just because of this stupidity. I been using QBO for 14 years and this move has made this program beyond useless in tracking down variances. The person who decided to take off this feature should be fired immediately as they didn't think about accountant needs!
