Join nowThe invoicing screen gets very busy when invoicing item bundles - all of the items appear on the screen and take up space. I realize they do not reflect as such on the customer invoice, it is just difficult to proof an invoice for accuracy with so much going on. It would be great just to see the actual line item, is there a way to do this?
Greetings, @mymouty.
Thank you for reaching out to us here in the Community.
I can share with you some information about how bundles show in invoices in QuickBooks Online.
To answer your question, yes. You can create an invoice that only shows an actual line item of the bundle.
You can add bundles in your invoices while making the composing products or services not visible to your customers. It's either to remove the bundle item or you just need to uncheck the option that's labeled Display bundle components when printing or sending transactions.
Here's how;

Thank you so much for you reply, however, my issue is not with the items showing on the customer invoice when they view it. My issue is when I am creating invoices and have 3 line items, and two of them are bundles, I see all of the contents on my invoice and have to scroll to find the bottom and the next subsequent blank line item. I work in the concrete industry so my bundles are quantities of aggregate with numbers in all of the columns. Invoicing is a bit more challenging and subject to errors just because the screen has so much data on it. I am trying to find a way to select a bundle while invoicing and NOT have the contents of the bundle show on my screen at all. I know what's in it, our customers don't care about that detail.
This is not like purchasing a basket and having the contents listed, this is purchasing concrete and the aggregate that it is composed of listed. Way too busy for the invoicing screen.
Any ideas here?
I know how you want the bundle items not to show on the invoice and I'm here to guide you on what you can do, mymouty.
With bundles, it's easier for you to group items together to sell them as one package. Currently, all the items will always show once you create an invoice for bundles. You'll want to send feedback so our engineers can take a look at this. You'll also want to double-check on the Feedback forums page if there are related requests submitted by another customer. You can vote if there is an existing request. Sometimes, your vote is considered important for it to be materialized. If there's non, you can also send feedback from here.
For your reference, you can receive payment for your invoice. Please go through the steps in this article: Record An Invoice Payment.
