Consider to purchase QB Desktop 2016 or later to upgrade your version.
Do the later versions not require Internet Explorer to run? That seems to be the dead end for me right now.
My clients can still run QBD 2009 on Win 11 Home with minor issues. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for assistance.
Thank you for your suggestions, we tried all the scenarios but I still can't get in. I keep getting the same box saying that I need to turn on Internet Explorer for the program to run, but Microsoft got rid of it.

I have an alternative method for bypassing the Internet Explorer installation and accessing QuickBooks Pro 2015, @eyoung.
Since June 15, 2022, Microsoft has officially discontinued support for Internet Explorer. However, if you're using Windows 7, you can still install Internet Explorer add-ons. Otherwise, it's best to switch to the Microsoft Edge browser.
To download Internet Explorer for Windows 7, please follow these steps:

Hi,
I have desktop version 24.0 R11 updated to the most recent patch release R11_43. Based on the release note, this patch release came in mid December 2024. I now am unable to open up the application. The log I've been provided by IT (below) seems to suggest that Quickbooks was trying to connect to Internet Explorer, which has been prohibited as part of our company IT policy. Has anyone else encountered similar issue?
"An unexpected error has occured in "Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Professional Services 24.0":
RegOpenKeyEx(HKLM, "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\IEXPLORE.EXE", 0, KEY_READ) returned 0x00000002"

Hi RCV,
Thank you for your suggested solutions. However, they seem to be generic cookie cutter solutions and have not taken into account my specific situation ie Quickbooks was working fine back in December on the same computer, that our Quickbooks version is indeed up to date as noted in our initial question. We do have Microsoft Edge installed. We've also ran Quickbooks Tool Hub for Program Problems and Diagnostic Tool and ran File Doctor. Also have gone through the steps in 'Can't open your company file in Quickbooks Desktop'. None of them worked. This is quite frustrating really.
