What is QB Accounts? QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop?

QB SelfEmployed is a stand-alone product. You are unable to migrate data from other QB product to QBSE.

That’s unbelievable. I’m so disappointed by that. I have nearly a years worth of accounts & contacts in Quickbooks that I now have to sit & input 1 at a time by myself. That’s unacceptable to me in an advanced digital age.

Hello fernevergreengui,

I can see how useful to have an option to migrate data from other QuickBooks program to QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can directly connect your bank account to lessen your time when manually entering other transactions within QuickBooks Self-Employed. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings at the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Bank account under Transactions.
  3. In the search box, enter the name or URL of your bank.
  4. Click Continue. Then, follow the on-screen instructions.

Another way is to manually import bank transactions using the CSV file. First, sign in to your bank's website and download transactions as a CSV file. Then, we can save it to your desktop and follow the steps below to upload them to your account.

  1. Click Imports under Transactions.
  2. Select Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  3. Click Browse and select the file you saved on your desktop.

You may want to check these articles for an additional guide about handling transactions:
