I was chatting online with Dinah at Quickbooks needing help with resubcribing accounts so access didn't expire, he disconnected chat 2 minutes before noon due to closing

I have 2 companies that the only option to subscribe online was Advanced subscription at $159 per month, QB doesn't allow me to downgrade to Essentials online, says I must contact QB Support, and now I'm losing access to data tomorrow.

Hi there, @drum1234. I want to make sure you can continue to access your data.

 

To downgrade your plan, make sure to select the Downgrade your plan link. It will take you to the Downgrade page, where you can lower the subscription to Simple Start or Essentials. Before you downgrade, make sure you aren't losing any important features. Keep in mind that downgrading removes any discounts on your current plan.


Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or company admin.
  2. Select the Gear icon and then Account and settings.
  3. Select the Billing & Subscription tab.
  4. Make sure your payment info is up-to-date.
  5. In the QuickBooks Online section, select Downgrade your plan.

  6. Review the available plans and then select Choose plan.
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to downgrade your plan.
