IN THE KNOW WEBINARS

I've attended many of these webinars - but no matter how many times I register, I don't think I'm ever getting proactive notices about when the next one is.  I've been wanting to watch the play back of the December webinar - but I don't think it is yet posted yet at the only site I know where to look...https://community.intuit.com/articles/1761769-in-the-know-webinars.

Nor do they have a date for a January webinar.   I just have a calendar reminder pop up every two days so I go in and check the site again...but it's 1/17...shouldn't they have December archived?  Shouldn't they tell us if they are having one in Jan or not?

I'd like to stop missing these webinars but feel like I am I missing something about how to keep informed?  Am I going to the wrong site?  It seems like a regular thing that they want us to think of as a perk (listed on the proadvisor tab) but it seems the regularity and communication has some seriously missing architectural.  Or am I missing something?

Hi there @acbk

The 'In the Know' webinar Help article is updated with how to register for future versions and also has a section towards the bottom with archived content.  I am linking the December recording.

Appreciate the complete details you've provided, @acbk.

I'd like an opportunity to share additional information on how you can make sure your account is set up to receive email notifications for QuickBooks webinars and training.

Here's how to set it up inside QuickBooks:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. Select Company.
  4. Under Communications with Intuit window, click Marketing Preferences link.
  5. In Select your marketing Preferences window, do not mark anything on it instead click Next.
  6. Enter your complete information, then click Next.
  7. Hit Submit.

If you're still unable to receive webinar notifications, I'd recommend reaching out to our dedicated Customer Care Team for Accountants. A specialist would be able to look up your account on a secured environment and further assist you in setting up email notification preferences.

Here’s how you can reach them:

  1. Visit: https://community.intuit.com/quickbooks-accountant-us-en
  2. Click Contact Us under Additional Resources.
  3. Select Need to contact Intuit Accountant Support?.
  4. Go to Click here to see contact options below!
  5. Click on Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

Fell free to visit the Community page if you have other questions about QuickBooks Certification Training and Webinars. I'd be happy to help you more and answer all your inquiries.

Thank you juVielL.

I am a proadvisor with a QBOA account.  When I click on the Gear Icon when I'm in my company - unlike one of my clients - I don't have "Accounts and Settings".  Instead I have Settings - Company Settings.  I don't see "Communications with Intuit" anywhere.  Under the Company tab - I have Name, contact info, accounting method, EIN, tax form, categories, and customer label.

I've tried quite a few ways to try and find these sections you are referring to and I'm striking out (not getting to anything about communications with intuit nor marketing preferences when logged into my QBOA).

I will try to contact someone via the links you provided...but that seems a way to contact overall training.  This question is very specific to the "In the Know Webinars" which aren't listed under the regular training website that you provided a link to.  But maybe they are connected in some way.

FYI that the specific  link within QBOA to take us to info about the In the Know Webinars (https://community.intuit.com/articles/1761769-in-the-know-webinars.%C2%A0) still does not have the Dec 13th webinar archived for viewing - nor does it give any clues about whether or not there will be a Jan webinar.

I'll try reaching out to the other site your recommended.  Seems a bit complex for such a simple thing as a regular monthly webinar.  But thanks for trying.

The staff doesn't even know what the In the know webinar is, so don't feel bad

Thanks Malcolm.  You made me chuckle.  I guess none of us are "in the know"!
