Join nowI have a question on invoice layout. Its close to the "Create an invoice that shows the total price without revealing the breakdown of the..." post.
This is our current layout:
Total $35
Here is the challenge. Depending on the type of sale, the salesperson should be able to select which invoice layout to use.
Like:
Parts sale
Total $15
Repairs
Oven toaster repair, $35
Thank you so much. Regards to the Quickbooks community.
Thanks for posting this invoice template concern in the Community Support page for QuickBooks, Jun.
I'd like to share some insights about the layouts on an invoice templates. At the moment, if you add items with parts like assemblies, the system will not include a breakdown of the items associated to that item type.
Regardless of the templates you create or use, it is a default system action to show only one line for each item type. For this, you can utilize the Description box so the breakdown populates the invoice. See this:

Hello there.
Does anyone know if "invoicing as a package" can be done in the current Quickbooks version?
Thank you so much.
Hello, Jun.
Good to have you back! I'd like to share information regarding the availability of package invoicing in QuickBooks Desktop.
Since my colleague's response, we're still unable to do an invoicing package as outlined in your original post in the current version of QuickBooks (2020, 2021, and 2022).
We'll want to follow the workaround given by my colleague, Jen_D, in the meantime.
To reiterate, we'll want to send feedback to our developers regarding the option to hide the cost or when invoicing items as a package.
Simply click the Help menu, hover on Send Feedback Online, then select Product Suggestion.
Our developers will review your input, and might consider your ideas for future improvements and updates in QuickBooks.
