iPad and QuickBooks Time Kiosk app

We have two identical, supervised iPads—one in each warehouse—managed through Apple Business Manager/Business Essentials and locked in Guided Access to the QuickBooks Time Kiosk app. After launching the app and entering our company ID and authorization code, the iPad at Warehouse A stays on the employee list just fine, but the one at Warehouse B eventually drops back to the “Administrator / Manager / Employee” role-selection screen. To recover, we have to exit Guided Access, force-quit the app, relaunch it, and start Guided Access again. Both iPads share the same iPadOS version, kiosk settings, Wi-Fi, and MDM profiles, so I’m out of ideas. Has anyone run into this and found a reliable fix—or can point me toward the right Intuit or Apple contact?

Thanks for bringing your question forward. I want to make sure QuickBooks Time is functioning properly on both of your iPads.

 

I appreciate you providing the details of the setup and the troubleshooting methods you've completed so far. Since all of the settings are the same for the iPads and the issue is persisting, I recommend reporting a problem through the app to open a related case to be reviewed. This can be done in just a few steps:

 

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Workforce.
2. Select More, then Settings, and select Help & Support, then Upload device logs.
3. Enter a Description of the issue, then select the camera to upload any images that may provide context.
4. Select Upload.
5. Once you send in the device log, contact our support team, and ask them for your case number associated with the log.
