You could be having a full cache that's why your QuickBooks freezes when you make journal entries. Let's get rid of this behavior.
Please log in to QuickBooks in a private or incognito window. This step disables your browser's extensions and blocks the cache from saving your browsing data. If you can save your entries, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If not, please try other browsers to see if the same thing happens.
