Hi there, @Vision2019.
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can share some information about the direct deposit process in QuickBooks Desktop.
When sending payroll during federal holidays, the direct deposit will be drawn from your account the next day. To avoid late payments, you'll need to submit the direct deposit (DD) in advance.
The only way to process DD is to send the payroll two federal banking days before the paycheck date before 5 p.m., Pacific Time. You can either push through with sending the payroll and employees getting paid by Monday or create manual paychecks for this period.
To create one-time regular paychecks, here's how:
-
In the Review and Create Paychecks window while paying employees, select the Open Paycheck Detail button.
-
Clear the Use Direct Deposit option.
-
- Select Save & Close.
For additional reference, I've attached a link you can use to make sure employees get paid on time in QuickBooks: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?.
Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help you some more.
