Hello there, @ptla.
I'll share information about accessing QuickBooks after the subscription ends.
View-only access for QuickBooks Desktop 2023 R3 or later is available for an additional year after your subscription expires. You won't be able to use your inactive license to edit your data at that period. You can, however, extend your subscription or export your information. Renew your subscription to continue viewing your data after a year.
Before canceling your subscription, you must update to the recent QuickBooks Desktop release if you're still using QuickBooks Desktop 2023 R1.
You can view reports but can’t create any transactions. Before you cancel your subscription, we advise you to export your data.
Here's how:
- In QuickBooks, go to Reports.
- Find and open any report.
- Select the Excel option on the toolbar to create a new worksheet or update an existing. You can also select Print or save the report as a PDF.
You can check this article for more information about what you can do when subscription expires: Renew your subscription or use view-only mode in QuickBooks Desktop 2023.
If you prefer to renew your QuickBooks Desktop subscription, call (800) 591-0302.
For future reference if you want to switch with QuickBooks Online, you can check this article: QuickBooks Online vs. Desktop.
Let me know if you have additional questions about using QuickBooks Desktop without a license. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
