Hi there, Stacy. To determine the best approach, could you let us know if you recently moved your file to a new computer, renamed it, or imported an Accountant's Copy? Also, please share which version of QuickBooks Desktop you are currently using.
Please note that the Loan Manager was discontinued in the 2022 version, so it is only available if you're using 2021 or an earlier version. From what you've described, it seems you can access the Loan Manager menu, but the dashboard is completely blank. This issue can be related to how QuickBooks stores loan data.
While your regular accounting data is kept in your main company file, loan data is stored in a separate, specialized file with a .lmr file extension. For your loans to appear, this loan file must be saved in the same folder as your main company file, and both files must have the same name. Please check the .lmr file located in the same directory as your company file.
I look forward to your reply. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
