In my QB Desktop Pro 2020, I can no longer make any inactive customer active again. When I go to any inactive customer in the list of All customers, the "Make Customer Active" function is grayed out. So far I have done the following:
- Run QB updates twice, on separate days;
- Updated my Win 10 OS;
- Run the repair tool in the QB Tool Hub, twice;
- Run the repair function that comes up in Win 10 in the Control Panel for the QB program "Repair or Uninstall;"
- Spoke with Tech Help, who tried to send me helpful links to online articles, but who couldn't really find one on point, and who ultimately said I could either pay to get the software fixed or uninstall and reinstall;
- Uninstalled the program and reinstalled it (suggesting to me the problem gets stored when I back up my company file).
This is NOT a problem of making an ACCOUNT active again, nor is it a problem with renaming a Customer or vendor, nor is it a problem with making a customer a vendor or employee, or the other way.
Has anyone dealt with this successfully? Is there anything else I can try before having to pay QB to repair its own danged buggy software?
