Multi-currency - Empty list?

I appreciate you for joining the thread, @kobutacus. I can share some solutions to display the currencies from the Multicurrency list.

You have to choose the Yes, I use more than one currency to get the currencies from the dropdown menu. You can see this screenshot as your visual reference.

If you don't have that option, I recommend updating your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to narrow down the result. This way, you can get the latest features and updates.

  1. Go to Help and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select Update Now, then Get Updates.
  3. When done, close and reopen QuickBooks.
  4. Select Yes when asked to install the update.
  5. Restart your computer.

Sometimes, an update won't go through due to an error during the update installation. If needed, you have to download the update more than once and make sure to end tasks the QuickBooks-related processes.

Once done, review your multicurrency options from the Preferences page.

For more tips about tracking your foreign currency transactions in QuickBooks Desktop, you can open this article: Set up and use Multicurrency

Please keep in touch if you need more help with your multicurrency preferences. I'm determined to help. Wishing you a good one!

Multi-currency - Empty list?

Hey ,

I noticed your post about the multi-currency issue, and it seems like I'm facing the exact same problem. Could you share when you changed the address to the US to make the multi-currency feature work? Also, once you enable multi-currency with the US as the domicile, can you switch back to the original address? I'd really appreciate your help in resolving this.

Thanks a bunch,

chenchen

Multi-currency - Empty list?

Hi there Chenchen,

Thanks for reaching out about your currency setup on QuickBooks Desktop. It's a great software able to help you keep track of sales and expenses so you know the profitability of your company. I can point you in the right direction for assistance with multicurrency setup.

For help with setting up multicurrency, and to know the effect of changing the address on multicurrency. I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Dekstop support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to assist in making sure everything is set up properly so you can enter all transactions properly in your books. You can reach them using the steps outlined in the QuickBooks Desktop support policies.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
