My company uses QB for inventory. I track the location and quantity of each product. I am trying to find a way to add multiple locations ( as in truck locations) where an employee can sign out parts/products to their vehicle and hold until a job is assigned. Then they would use products under a Sales Receipt to take inventory off their truck and assign to a customer/location. I have our inventory in but need more locations and ways to receive parts/products to inventory then transfer to a vehicle followed by Sales receipt once the work is complete. Does anyone use QB for inventory?
Adding multiple locations for inventory isn't available in QuickBooks Online, @mmursch-auburnwa.
You may consider integrating a third-party app to QuickBooks Online. For this, I recommend visiting our Intuit App Center. You can browse for available apps that best suit your business needs.

I work for a Water Company. I use QB for inventory and when the Crews repair meters, at no cost to our customers, I "Sales Receipt" it out of inventory. I need multiple locations to track parts going from inventory (shop) to trucks then to a specific address by "Sales Receipt".
Since there is no way to have multiple locations, would it work to duplicate each item under another category and label as trucks? Would I be able to move items (quantity) from one category to another, like a transfer?
You'll want to check out our site for the third-party applications that are QuickBooks compatible.
