I understand the importance of having their bank account in QuickBooks updated accurately and promptly, Paola. QuickBooks Error 163 occurs if there has been a change to your bank's website, but QuickBooks hasn’t received the updated information yet, an incorrect site login link, the bank website is down for scheduled maintenance, or temporarily unavailable to access.
Please note that QuickBooks can only access the transactions provided by your bank. So, let's log out and log in to your QuickBooks account and do the update again.
If the same error happens, please visit your bank’s website to check for any announcements about system updates or maintenance. If there are no alerts and the problem persists, I recommend contacting our Live Support team. They can assist you further, including by sharing screens, to help identify and fix Error 163.
In the meantime, I suggest manually uploading your bank transactions while our support team reviews the problem.
