Good day, lrhmail451.

I'm here to answer your inquiries about the process of categorizing transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There's no need to delete something after you categorized it in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Once a transaction is categorized, you can't use it again unless you undo or unmatch it. Check out this article for more details: Unmatch downloaded bank transactions or move them to another account.

Here's an article to learn more about matching and managing your downloaded transactions: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

You can also open this link for additional reference about managing your income and expenses in QuickBooks Online.

For additional resources about managing your banking transactions, you can check out the topics from this link: Find help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts for QBO.

Let me know if you have other questions about categorizing transactions by leaving a comment below. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi lrhmail451!

It's nice to have your back here! I'll continue helping with your categorized transactions.

We constantly upgrade our servers so you won't experience delays when accessing any sections in QuickBooks, even if you have plenty of transactions.

I understand the concern of going through multiple transactions if you need to do some corrections. Therefore, I recommend using filters to easily find the one you need to modify. You can also search by description, check number, or amount.

For the purpose of clearing the transactions in the Categorized section, you can disconnect and reconnect your bank account. This also removes the ones in the For Review and Excluded sections, but won't affect the transactions in your Chart of Accounts. Then, please note reconnecting an account means QuickBooks will redownload your transactions in the last 90 days, so exclude those that are already in your bank register.

The QuickBooks Team is always available should you need more assistance. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!
