Buy nowI cannot get QB to print checks to an office network printer. I can print any other type of file from the same computer QB is installed on. When I try to print checks from my printer of choice nothing happens. No print que, nothing.
Is there some security feature that doesn't allow printing on a remote printer?
Hello there, @rj33040. I'm here to explain why you can't print your checks on a remote printer.
Printing checks on a remote printer requires an internet connection. Since QuickBooks Pro 2015 is already a discontinued product, you won't be able to connect to the internet, which means that features that require internet access, such as printing checks to a remote printer, will no longer be available.
Alternatively, you can use the locally installed printer on your computer to print your checks.
However, if you still want to print checks on a remote printer, you can consider upgrading your QuickBooks Desktop version.
For future reference, I'll add this article that helps you fix any alignment issues when printing your checks: Fix PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm still around to assist you further if you need more information about printing checks in QuickBooks Pro 2015. You can utilize the reply button below to enter your queries and concerns. I've always got you covered.
I misused the word "remote". The target printer is located on the same small office network as the computer that has QB installed. When an attempt to print a check is made, the target printer is given as a selection and chosen, just nothing happens after that.
Thanks for providing clarification and additional details about your printing concern, @rj33040.
