My password to access the company file in QB24 desktop iMac stopped working.
I can open the QB24 application, but the password won't open the company file.
I verified PW in my Apple Keychain to ensure I was using the right one.
I have used this password for quite some time, did it get corrupted somehow?
I dont know how to reset it because it wants the password in order to change it.
Can some advise what I should do?

Your suggestions did not work for me. After I click the lock a window opens requesting more information, contact info, product number. After I enter the info another window opens saying
"Verification Failed. Make sure the information you provided is the same as that provided when the admin registered Quickbooks".
I don't know if the information I provided is exactly the same as when I purchased the product, that was over 5 years ago. I sold the business in 2022 and no longer have access to the business phone or business email address. My company records stop in 2022 when business was sold. I have not accessed this QB file very much since that time. Recently accountant requested some info and when I tried to access the account the PW no longer works.
Any other options?
Which QB Desktop year version did you use?
I used QB19. If its relevant I also subscribed to QB payroll service for many years and cancelled it in 2022.
In the same QB10 app I also had a different company file for my personal expenses that I have used for many years. Each file had different PW's. The file for my personal expenses continues to work fine and it identifies the PW each time.
RecentyI I downloaded a trial version of QB24 try it out. My personal file transferred over and work on QB24 just fine, but the business file will not open either when I click on the link in my apps folder or if I open QB24 first then try to open company it is the same, it wont work. Now it will also not open the file in QB19 like it used to .

You are trying to open *.qb2019 on QB Desktop 2019, correct? Have you tried restoring any backup file on QB Desktop 2019 or 2024?
No, QB19 will no longer open, now it tells me I have 15 uses ands have to Register it. When I click on Register Later it simply closes the window and does not open QB19.
So I am trying to open it on QB24. My other QB file opens fine on QB24, but when I try to open the former business file it says its the incorrect PW even though I enter the PW that I have always used for that company file.
No, havent tried to restore backup file because dont know how to do that
