qbdataserviceuser30 keeps disappearing from shared permissions for QB data folder on QB server

Hello there, @eheinicke

As an initial step to make sure the data service user doesn't disappear from shared permissions, I'd like to ensure your QuickBooks Database Server Manager is set up correctly. First, you'll need to download and install the QuickBooks Database Server Manager. Then, set up your firewall permissions so you can run on your server computer. Once you've set up your permissions, update the Database Server Manager in QuickBooks Desktop.

After you've ensured the server is set up correctly, you'll then need to verify the firewall and security settings are set up correctly as well. Before we begin, you'll need to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub and run QuickBooks File Doctor. The QuickBooks File Doctor lets you open the ports automatically.

I'm including two articles for more detailed steps about fixing Database Server Manager issues:

You can also get in touch with our QuickBooks Desktop Tech Support for them to remote in and let them do this for you.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to comment below. Have a safe and productive weekend!
