Buy nowFor example, looking at a client's invoice history I'm normally able to click on an invoice to see the details. Lately I have to click the 'view/edit' button and then still nothing, so I need to refresh the page. Same again when I'm looking at a ledger, and click to select a line on the ledger, nothing happens. I have to refresh the page to see the details. When I'm done and click save and close it takes me back to the main page, rather than returning me to the ledger. It's insanely frustrating!
Hi caymancowdroys,
Refreshing pages and being kicked back to the main page would trigger some unwanted feelings. I hear what you're saying, and I'll help you resolve the display issue.
We have identified three reasons that can contribute to the page loading issue. This could be due to an unwanted character in the business name, two or more adjacent dollar signs on the page you are loading, or accessing QBO in more than one tab simultaneously. Learn more about QuickBooks Online doesn't load correctly or has blank pages.
If you don't see the above reasons causing the blank pages issue, we can do some browser troubleshooting steps to find out if it's caused by too much cached files. We can start by signing in to your QBO company using a private window. This step will disable the extensions and stops the cache from saving your search history.
If your QBO pages load fine while browsing privately, you can clear the cached files. If it's the same thing, please use a different browser to see if this only happens to the one you are using.
On the other hand, you can check out the helpful articles for QBO on the main support page should you need references in the future. Just go to the Browse common topics section and click More Topics.
Let me know if you have any other concerns with your QuickBooks pages. Take care and have a good one.
I have the same problem. I use a mac and it happens in Safari and Chrome. I have cleared all cache and history. Doing normal monthly work is nearly impossible at this point. Intermittently it will work fine, but it is almost constant at this point.
Thanks for getting involved with this thread, jabdul77. I appreciate your detailed information.
Since QuickBooks still isn't loading pages after clearing cookies and cached data, I'd recommend trying in another browsing application and confirming it's up-to-date with a supported release.
Here's a list of supported browser versions:
You can also check a browser's compatibility with QuickBooks by utilizing our browser health checkup tool. Intuit supports the current and two previous versions of browsers. If you find that you're using an unsupported version, make sure to update it to its latest release and try using QuickBooks again to see if it loads properly. Steps for doing so can be found on the particular company's website.
In the event you've found no problems that could be causing this with your browsers, you'll want to try using a different device and/or internet connection. If it continues happening on other devices and/or internet connections, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
They can be reached while you're signed in.
Here's how:
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I've also included a detailed resource about system requirements for QuickBooks which may come in handy moving forward: System requirements
