Join nowAn existing resolved thread describes problems with the Sonoma upgrade and various QB versions. The resolution is marked resolved because older versions are no longer supported. A workaround is suggested, but it is unclear if the QB23 problems are fixed. I am opening this thread to inquire about the progress of QB 2023 only. We have not yet updated our server, but we have updated our clients.

QuickBooks Mac 2023 update has out around 6 hours ago. Run QuickBooks->Check For Updates. (Hold the option key down when launching if you can't open your existing QB Mac 2023).
Are there any other updates to this issue? I was on the chat with a member of technical support and they basically told me that because I chose to update to the Sonoma OS that I need to purchase a new Quickbooks program. Is this true?
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

Additionally, yes, since Apple released its new macOS version (Sonoma), there might be a compatibility issues for applications (this also applies for QBDT Mac) developed prior to the creation of the operating system. With that said, Intuit also launched a new update patch for 2021-2024 versions for it to be compatible with the new macOS.
