Has anyone who is running Desktop for Mac 2021 upgraded to Sequoia 15.0? If you have, is it running correctly? I am considering either a VM or just using my previous laptop with Sonoma as an accounting laptop only if needed but, I was wondering if the software is working for anyone who has upgraded?

I have not experienced any change to functionality in QBDT 2021 or 2019 for Mac if you upgrade to Sequoia 15.0.
Hello there, @Spiderterp. I'm pleased to address your concern regarding QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac 2021 and Sequoia 15.0.
Currently, there aren't any ongoing investigations regarding the compatibility of QBDT for Mac 2021 with Sequoia 15.0. If it's not running properly, it's likely because your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements, such as:

To get QBDT to work on your new Mac OS, I suggest manually updating it to the latest version. This way, you'll have the newest features and fixes. Before doing so, be sure to backup your company file. Here's how:
1. In QB, navigate to File, then select Back Up.
2. Choose the folder to store your backup.
3. Click Start Backup.
Then, proceed to update your QBDT by following these steps:
1. Uninstall QB for Mac.
2. Reinstall the latest version.
3. Restore your company file in QuickBooks.
Feel free to reach out again if you have any questions or concerns. I'm here to help. Take care and have a great day!
No thank you.
I have not experienced any change to functionality in QBDT 2021 or 2019 for Mac if you upgrade to Sequoia 15.0.
Does this mean you have upgraded your OS to Sequoia and are running QB Desktop 2019 and 2021 without any issues?
Correct! I have learned to keep a backup laptop and check functionality before upgrading. Once an upgrade does not allow QBDT to run properly, I will freeze my backup laptop on the most current compatible OS and use it exclusively for QBDT.
I hope this helps!
To add, I do not import data from the bank and I do not run payroll.
That is good to know. I am running Quickbooks Mac 2020 and am a little nervous to update to Sequoia, I had problems updating last year. Has any one have problems updating to the latest Sequoia?
As I know, you can run QBD 2019 and 2020 on Sequoia without major issues. You can check the following reference

I'm curious if any others have upgraded to sequoia that are using desktop for mac 2021 and know how it is working? Any issues? I'd like to upgrade to sequoia but worried I may get locked out of my 2021 desktop so would like to hear from several others that may have already upgraded to Sequoia.
I did do the update to Sequoia. I have not had any issues with Quickbooks, Everything seems to be running as normal. I am using Quickbooks desktop 2020 on a 2019 MacBook Pro.
I am now on 15.1.1 and still running fine.
is quickbooks 2019 R15 running in sequoia?
Yes. You can visit the link I shared in the post earlier last month. If you want to run the bank feed feature, you can use the trial version of QBD 2024 as a workaround.
Yes, it is working.
Yes, you can, @dig139. Let me elaborate on this further to know what operating systems are compatible with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac 2019.
Since QBDT 2019 has been discontinued, it no longer receives critical security patches and updates. Although it functions in the latest release of macOS, Sequoia, we cannot guarantee that the application will run smoothly on your updated device.
Moreover, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 runs an optimal performance with the following operating systems:
If you have any other concerns regarding the supportability of QuickBooks Desktop versions, please feel free to ask. If you need assistance with your transactions and lists, provide the details below, and I'll be happy to help.
@RoseJillB It seems to me that there is something wrong with your reply. I am running QB 2019 R15 on my macbookair M2 OS Sanoma which should not be possible according to your response. I stll have not upgraded to Seqquoia because I had problems last year when I initially uploaded Sanoma and QB crashed, but after a while patches became available and Sanoma loaded and QB ran. It still does. Maybe you can expand your answer and let me know why you think my QB 2019 R15 will crash if I upgrade to Sequoia.
Thank you for sharing your experience, dig139. It’s great to know you are using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2019 R15 on your MacBook Air M2 with Sonoma. However, since this version is outdated, you might encounter some performance challenges. I’d be happy to discuss potential difficulties with upgrading to Sequoia and other issues that may arise.
If you are using a discontinued version of QBDT, please know that this may not run smoothly due to the continuous updates of your operating system (OS). As the OS receives updates, the discontinued programs will continue to age until they are no longer compatible with the OS.
Despite the discontinuation of the QBDT 2019, you can still run an outdated and no longer supported program on a contemporary operating system. However, updates to the operating system may introduce compatibility issues due to different layers, which could lead to crashes or other difficulties.
Since you are using the discontinued version, obtaining the latest patches to fix these issues and utilizing online services such as banking is no longer available. With this, you can consider updating your QuickBooks for Mac and your QBDT to its latest release to have the latest features and fixes.

If you are thinking about upgrading to Sequoia, make sure to have a backup that you can easily restore if needed.
Please let me know if you have additional questions regarding system requirements, dig139. I would be more than happy to help you out.
I know what happened when Sonoma was released last year compared to this year when Sequoia was released. Intuit support will not admit anything for outdated versions. Because they won't do anything when the outdated version suddenly fails to run on Sonoma or Sequoia. You can only get testimonials from other users and you can still use the trial version of QBD 2024 as a workaround.
