Thanks for the post!
Quick question: Why is it that when you visit the link for QBDT 2019 and QBDT 2021, only the 2019 version says it's compatible with Monterey in the description ( the very top line)?
Don't you think it should be added to the description of 2021 for clarity?
Thank you!
Thank you for being a part of the Community, @billhdz.
Let me share some information on this. QuickBooks Desktop 2019 version was updated a week ago to include the Monterey capability, and Quickbooks 2021 hasn't been updated since June and does not yet include the Monterey capability.
We will make sure to edit the descriptions of products as necessary as updates are made! I hope this helps, and please let me know what else I can help you with. Take care!
Should say R11
I'm still confused
My QB says Desktop Mac 2020
Then says Version V19.0.10 R11
Is this Mac 2020 or 19
Your posting listed the ones for 2020 only had til June R9 while the 2019 lists R13
When I check for updates within the QB app says I'm up to date
Will this work with Monterrey?
Your confusion ends here, @bobfharris.

Utilize the trial version for QBD 2021 to make sure it works on your Mac. Then you can still buy a one time license for QBD 2021 or the subscription license for QBD 2022.
I am a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and 99% of my clients use the Windows platform and mostly Desktop which I have have been supporting for over 25 years. Recently a client of mine purchased QuickBooks Mac Desktop 2021 from me (I am an authorized reseller) and it has been a nightmare her...her MacPro is just 2 years old Model A1989 and when I try to print an invoice for her the deadly colorful circle pops up and and crashes. Her system also slowed down overall. Today with a Mac IT guy installing Monterrey operating systems which will take 5 hours +...will this help?
Sorry to hear that Al-Iglesias. I have had zero problems running QuickBooks 2019 (V18.0.13 R14) running Monterey (12.2) on my 2021 MacBookPro M1. For me, this question has been answered. How do I remove it from the message board?
The issue wasn't 2019 QB Mac with Monterrey, as I have one client who runs it without a hitch, it was 2021 QB for Mac that is not working and was wondering if anyone experience the same issue.
Hello, I have Quickbooks 2016 (yes, I should update) and it does not seem to be compatible with the newest mac update, Monterey. Please help, any input would much appreciated.

Thank you for your quick reply, but I still do not feel like I got the answer I needed.
Please know, I am not much of a technology geek. This stuff does not come easy for me and it is more of a struggle to understand and grasp it.
Last week, when I updated my mac (2015) to the new os Monterey, I was no longer able to access my Quickbooks, 2016. I am clueless as to where to go from here but desperately need to gain access.
I clicked on the links you shared but do not see how any of them can help.
Thank you for your response.
Hello @OHero,
Before we can start accessing your company file in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, may I ask for a few clarifications about your initial inquiry?
Have you received an error message saying QuickBooks 2016 seems not compatible with Monterey? And have you tried to install and access both 2015 and 2016 versions on the same Mac desktop at the same time?
Keep me updated in the comments below. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care and stay safe!

You don't have any other options but upgrading your QBD Mac version. Utilize the trial version for QBD Mac 2021 as I recommended earlier to make sure it works before buying the license. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD Mac 2021 from several partners.
"You can still purchase the one time license for QBD Mac 2021 from several partners." Where can you buy the software without it being a yearly subcription for the desktop version like I did with 2020 version?
