Quickbooks Desktop Pro Enhanced Payroll 2022

I have Desktop Pro 2021 Enhanced Payroll which renews automatically to my credit card every January. I typically get the new annual version of Desktop Pro in Oct/Nov but this year seems to be different. I don't want to get into a situation where everything freezes up because I did not do something I was suppose to do. There is a link in my QB menu bar now to change to an annual subscription but this is much less money than the Enhanced Payroll version I now have.  Is there info on this someplace?

Quickbooks Desktop Pro Enhanced Payroll 2022

I just purchased and received QB Pro Desktop 2022 with enhanced payroll. I currently subscribe to payroll which renews in April. When I install this 2022 version of QB will that automatically renew my payroll? Do I need to let Intuit know to not renew my current payroll subscription?

Quickbooks Desktop Pro Enhanced Payroll 2022

Hi annieme,

Let me address your renewal queries.

QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll is a subscription-based edition. It will be renewed every year automatically. If you don't want the system to renew, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support.

Additional details about subscription renewals are discussed in these articles:

I'd also like to give you these articles for extra references about managing Intuit accounts:

Quickbooks Desktop Pro Enhanced Payroll 2022

We purchased and installed the 2022 Desktop pro plus with enhanced payroll this year, upgrading due to the expiration of the 2019 version.  This is exasperating.  The payroll subscription had to be paid for and refunded, two different payroll subscriptions were created which caused hours of "fixing" with an agent my last payroll run.  If we have to buy a yearly subscription and we buy the version with payroll included, why doesn't the payroll department acknowledge this and not charge the "ongoing" version?  There are two ways to get payroll and they should realize that.  I just got an email saying next year's payroll will be "automatically charged".  What if I want to buy the same subscription that includes payroll that I did this year?  I don't want to be double charged and go through that whole process again!

This isn't the kind of impression that I'd like to have, RebaRoy.

Please know that you won't be charged twice once you renew your plan since it's the same subscription for your QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022. Additionally, your subscription will auto-renew with the credit card on file so there is no service interruption.

With regards to the charge for the ongoing version, I'd still recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They'll be the ones to explain further explain the billing process and discuss the refund for you. Here's how to connect with us:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us, then enter a brief description of your issue.
  4. Click Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect.
